Markvicka

Eric is a roboticist specializing in soft robotics, wearable computing, and assistive medical devices. I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Materials Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. At UNL, I direct the Smart Materials and Robotics Laboratory. We are currently looking for highly-motivated students to join our lab! I received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, while working in the Soft Machines Lab. Prior to arriving at CMU, Eric received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, while working in the Robotics and Mechatronics Lab. I was a 2012 NSF graduate research fellow and have studied at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Johnson Space Center, and Honeybee Robotics. I'm available for engineering services on a contract basis, see contact information below.
